About Sahayatra
Building dignity, resilience, and opportunity from the grassroots.
Established in 2013 and registered with the District Administration Office, Kathmandu and the Social Welfare Council Nepal, Sahayatra is a youth-led non-profit organization committed to education, health, community empowerment, and social justice. The organization prioritizes marginalized groups, especially women, children, and youth, and works to create safe, supportive, and enabling environments where communities can develop their potential and participate meaningfully in development.
Through capacity building, local engagement, and inclusive programming, Sahayatra helps rural communities move toward self-reliance, stronger leadership, improved well-being, and sustainable development.

Health and Children
Yoga camp in Lalitpur Metropolitan City benefiting nearly 700 students in 2024.
Basic Fine Art Training in Lalitpur for around 30 students in 2024.
Leadership development, child-friendly governance, and organizational strengthening programs for school and community children.
Youth Development
Anchoring and leadership training for youth in Lalitpur in 2022.
Proposal writing and photography training programs for youth in Dakshinkali.

Disaster management, first aid, and primary health awareness training for 300 participants.
Earthquake safety skills and first aid training in Kathmandu area municipalities.
Earthquake-resistant building construction skills development trainings for local participants.

Our Mission
Education & Skill Development
Sahayatra works to improve access to quality education and practical skills for children and youth from marginalized communities. Through training programs, leadership workshops, and creative learning activities such as art and communication skills, we help individuals build confidence and prepare for better opportunities in life.
Health & Community Well-being
We promote health awareness and preventive care through community-based programs. Our initiatives include health camps, yoga sessions, and basic health education, helping people understand the importance of physical and mental well-being and improving overall community health.
Women Empowerment & Social Inclusion
Sahayatra empowers women by providing leadership training, legal awareness, and capacity-building programs. We support women to become active decision-makers in their communities, ensuring gender equality, dignity, and social inclusion.
Disaster Risk Management
We work to strengthen community resilience through disaster preparedness training, first aid education, and awareness programs. Alongside this, we promote sustainable development practices that support livelihoods while protecting the environment and ensuring long-term community well-being.
